The Importance of Recording Information

Death is a fact of life, if you were to pass away today would your family know what your wishes are and how to deal with your estate? Consider the following:

Ensure all of your personal papers are kept together and stored somewhere easily accessible by your closest loved one(s). This should include a copy of your current will, a copy of your full birth certificate, an updated (say annual) list of assets/investments both in your own name along with any that are jointly owned along with, War Service records (if applicable). You may also like a certain verse or words engraved on a head stone. If so, a written note or instruction should ensure it happens.

Death is so often unexpected and can be a really tough time for family members having to deal with related matters. Help your family by having the above information easily available as it is often required by Funeral Directors or Lawyers dealing with your estate.
